About the Author
Terence John Woodhead is a South African author and researcher whose work draws on the humanities, social sciences and lived experience to explore large human questions in an accessible way. His writing brings philosophy, history, science, psychology, sociology, anthropology and ordinary life into conversation where the question requires it.
His approach is reflective rather than prescriptive. He writes as a fellow traveller in the inquiry, interested in what can be known, what remains uncertain and what these questions mean for human life.
Education
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree: Humanities, Social Sciences and Education from the University of the Witwatersrand, with majors in International Relations and Anthropology. Additional fields of study include Psychology, Sociology, Ergonomics, Industrial Relations and Classical Studies.

His areas of interest include philosophy, anthropology, religion, mythology, psychology, consciousness, human behaviour and the development of ideas across cultures.

How I Write
The aim is not to present certainty where certainty does not exist. I begin with a question, follow the strongest available evidence, examine competing interpretations and return to what the issue means for ordinary human life.
Research gives the work evidential discipline. Lived experience gives it human context. Neither is allowed to substitute for the other.

Terence writes from a South African context while exploring questions that cross borders. The aim is to remain grounded in real places, histories and human experience without reducing the work to a single national perspective.
